The brief for this bay fronted Victorian house was to create something different from the rest of the house, something that oozes adulthood but can also be used for family cosy nights in. The inspiration for the colour scheme came from a peacock feather which I teamed with a raspberry velvet sofa set on dark wood flooring which gives this room the wow factor.

Set with moody lighting this sitting room becomes the best setting for an adults drinks reception. Light the fire and cosy up with blankets for a family night in watching films and drinking hot chocolate. This versatile room really fulfilled the brief and sets it apart from the rest of the house which has a warm neutral colour scheme.

Be bold, be different, set yourself out of your comfort zone and take a risk you will be surprised how much you will embrace it!
