The brief for this project was to revamp this large kitchen, dining room & snug. My client wanted to bring the rooms together and lighten up the space. It was essential to keep the original features, flooring and kitchen to keep costs down. The dark wood panelling in the snug made this space very dark especially with the large black floor tiles throughout. So I knew instantly I needed to lighten up the space and transform the dated mint green kitchen.
F&B ‘Skimming Stone’ is what I chose for the wood panelling, dado rail, skirting, windows and doors. To compliment this I matched the kitchen cupboards, walls coving and ceiling to the same shade as the marble work tops F&B ‘Pointing’. The dated large white kitchen cupboard knobs were replaced with smaller black metal ones to match the wrought iron windows and leading.
I am absolutely thrilled with the very stylish finished look! With beautiful features like these and a stunning wooden bespoke hand crafted kitchen, colours need to be kept to a minimum to let the features speak for themselves. I knew instantly this was going to be a very rewarding project.
